James "Chris" Chisum



I’m James Chisum, I handle 95% of the social media activity for Nerd Con. I film all those insane promotional videos. I do a ton of in person marketing. I also help book with our celebrity guests and I recruit amazing vendors to be a part of our show.


Nerd Con is this magical place and the best part is that I have a hand in it, along with my good friend Jerry Shafer, the great people from the Chambers County Library System, the City of Mont Belvieu and Eagle Pointe.

My name is Jerry Jacob Shafer, and I am one of the co-directors. I am an English teacher, Fred Aguilar Promise Center Board Member, Husband, Crazyhead, and I am also the director of The Eastern Rim Funny Book & Vintage Con.


If you could visit one place from a pop-culture (books, movies ect) where would it be? Alderaan, before the Death Star did it’s thing .



Heley May



I am the Recreation Superintendent for the City of Mont Belvieu. My role in the Nerd Con team is overseeing the host site, day of operations that include catering, food and building access


What are your Top 5 favorite movies? At this point it is a lot of Disney movies (mostly Cars) which is my sons favorite, making it mine!



Mandy Sheffield



Mandy Sheffield: Assistant County Librarian for the Chambers County Library System and Molly’s official back-up and partner in all things library.


My favorite place to travel to is Disney World, second only to a Disney Cruise. I love how Imagineers create spaces to transport your imagination.



Sydney Rexroat



My name is Sydney Rexroat. My role at Nerd Con is Volunteer Wrangler. Outside of Nerd Con my title is Digital Service Librarian.


I enjoy seeing the cosplayers, and their love for the character they are portraying.



Andrew Valdez



Andrew Valdez is the designer of our logos and our promotional art.


I would describe what I do as being in charge of making sure Nerd Frank looks his best for Nerd Con.



Nerdy Frank



Nerdy Frank is the overall boss of Nerd Con. He insists that Nerd Con is fun, family friendly and free. He is also the logo and art model for all things Nerd Con.
